Do I need a permit?

If the dumpster sits on your private driveway, you do not need a permit. If you plan to park it on a public street in Reno or Carson City, you must contact your local public works department for a permit.

 

Standard rentals last for a set 7 days. If you need more time, let us know. We offer extended rental periods for a flat daily rate.

Each size comes with a set weight allowance. If your debris weighs more than the allowance, you simply pay a standard overage fee at the landfill scale.

You can throw away most household junk, construction debris, and yard waste. However, local landfills reject certain hazardous materials. Do not put the following items in your dumpster:

  • Paint and thinners

  • Tires

  • Car batteries and motor oil

  • Refrigerators or appliances with freon

  • Biohazardous or medical waste
